The staff here are very nice and give Excellent customer service! Angie, front desk staff had some of the best customer service. Due to driving in West TX with terrible cell service, she made my reservation without a credit card number since she could not hear me after several tries.
The hotel needs renovation.
The pet rooms were tired and had carpeting despite the $100 pet fee. Not one dog bag at the pet stations. I carry bags but wanted to get something for the additional $100 pet fee.
My first room had a broken air conditioner with sopping wet floor and my second room had a strong musty, wet smell but it was already late and too tired to ask for a third room.
This hotel is in an Excellent, safe location but it is the most dingy and first Marriott property that did Not meet my expectations.
Despite Not liking the Hilton values...their pet friendly hotels charge $75, have fully stocked dog stations, no carpets in the pet friendly rooms and sometimes give a pet welcome package of a nice doggy bag holder, treat and toy. Hilton pet friendly rooms have not let me down yet but I'd prefer to give my business to Marriott when I can.
For $100 pet fee, at least have your pet rooms to the standards of a typical Marriott!
